Overview

Jaisalmer is a former medieval trading center and a princely state in the western Indian state of Rajasthan, in the heart of the Thar Desert. Known as the "Golden City," it's distinguished by its yellow sandstone architecture. Dominating the skyline is Jaisalmer Fort, a sprawling hilltop citadel buttressed by 99 bastions. Behind its massive walls stand the ornate Maharaja's Palace and intricately carved Jain temples.

    Arrival Jaisalmer City - Hotel & Local Sightseeing

    After morning breakfast check-out from the hotel & explore the Jaisalmer City > The “living forts” of the world- the Jaisalmer Fort which is home to almost one-fourth population of the town. The fort is made of Golden Lime stone is also known as Sonar Quilla. Thereafter, visit all the ancient structures dating to 12th to 15th century. And also visit Chandraprabhu Jain Temple; Patwon-ki-haveli, Nathmal-ki-haveli and Salim singh-ki-Haveli are some of the exquisite buildings of the town, Gadi sagar Lake. And back to hotel overnight stay at Jaisalmer City.

    After morning breakfast check-out from the Desart Camp & explore the Kuldhara Village > Kuldhara is an abandoned, India. Established around the 13th century, it was once prosperous village inhabited by Paliwal Brahmins. According to a popularly held notion, the village is now inhabited by ghosts. Once a home to rich Paliwal Brahmins, the "haunted" village was abandoned by its inhabitants because of atrocities committed by a powerful minister of Jaisalmer, Salim Singh. And drop at Jaisalmer Airport/Railway Station for onward Journey.
